It's not gonna be easy to " colonize " Antarctica, either. Despite the eventual appearance of millions of square miles of real estate, most of the regolithic soil that exists beneath all that ice is useless for growing food; following SEVERAL MILLION years of being buried in ice, the land will have nothing by way of soil-nutrients, - it will be dead dirt and nothing more, for several THOUSANDS of years. - Pack a lunch. A mass exodus of people from all over the globe (not just the wealthy US of A) will cost Trillions of dollars, and only the richest will make it, - not me and not you, in other words. What we have now, may be all most of us will get in the future. Let's not just throw it away so easily ...

And will you take Billions of Dollars in Real Estate with you ? ... Will New Yorkers, or Three quarters of Holland and Bangladesh ? - Most of the Southeast coast of the United States. It won't happen in our lifetime, so maybe it doesn't matter to us, but it might to your Great Grandchildren. and what about the future of California's Great Valley region where much of America's fresh veggies come from, - that's all gonna suffer from both Sea flooding & Salt-Intrusion, - both of which will destroy arable growing soil for (at very least) centuries ... no food, no people. - It's no joke !
