Trump refused (through cowardice) to debate ANY of his Republican challengers, because - I suspect - he wouldn't have been able to keep up on Policy issues, and most of them were largely in agreement with him on general policy ... standard GOP small Government & BIG Tax-cuts stuff. Most opposed him because he behaves like a silver-back with a territory to protect ... Biden has a broad knowledge of tried and proven Domestic policy, & if his handling Foreign issue has seemed awkward - the hurried exit from Afghanistan (which Trump talked about, but DIDN'T act on) and his general adherence to STANDARD US POLICY on Israel and Gaza he is STILL trying to exert SOME control or the ISRAELI Donald Trump - Netanyahu is ALSO trying to dodge legal issues : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_of_Benjamin_Netanyahu Trump, by contrast to Biden, would have given even more one-sided support in this grossly uneven conflict ! ...
