The truth is that Donald Trump doesn't REALLY know what his Powers are. - he clings to every new interpretation of the Constitution like a desperate barnacle clings to the bottom of a passing ship, and he serves about as much benefit to the common good of America, as the aforementioned Arthropod benefits the hull of the ship to which it clings ... in short, none whatsoever. He HAS done one service to the Country, however - his noisome reign has focused our attention upon just how ineffective the so-called Checks and Balances really are, that - and the vague nature of Constitutional Language, which is perhaps, TOO open to broad interpretation and, as such, - a FOIL to the effectiveness of the Checks and Balances that we (at least Pretend to) rely upon as a shield against abuse.
