Respect is earned, not mandated, - even for the President: while I would ordinarily agree with your sentiments, it should be remember that THIS President has shown little respect for anyone, - from mocking an invalid to his constant harangues of the Media, to an obvious disrespect for women and minorities. Donald Trump demands respect, - not for the office, - but only for himself. He's a clown and a ham-handed amateur at his own job. What IS shocking is your defense of him.
