@RarebitFiends ... We're close in philosophy - maybe simpatico : My POINT is that both Parties (AND what they CLAIM to stand for) really aren't that different in practical terms. The " Progressives " mean well, but their bleeding hearts usually go beyond what is required, and the so-called " Conservatives " are in fact (mostly) mean-fisted Pro Wealth elitists that pander to Business and the Christian Right first and foremost. A Two-Party system allows the general electorate see-saw back and forth and thus ensure a kind of half-assed balance that lets most Americans survive - if NOT prosper.
