Actually, Religion has been around for THOUSANDS of years, not mere centuries, and it is no more compelling now than it ever was ... yes, much good has been done - by individuals - who were inspired by the words of one God or another, also a lot of death and destruction ... I am guessing you are the most common flavor of Faith in North America - a Christian, yes ? ... What makes your version of God any better than Allah or Yahweh - or Odin, for that matter - and why should I be convinced that you are correct. Riddle me this, Batman (or women, I'm not sure ) ...

  15. ... This is one of MANY reasons why Religious faith must ALWAYS be kept out of Politics, Government generally and NEVER be mandated ... Live your life, and try to live in peace with those who think differently ... leave the final judgement to your chosen God and let HIM do the dirty work AFTER your " enemy " has lived a long and peaceful life & died a natural and peaceful death ... Judgement is NOT your right, even if your beliefs tell you otherwise !
