@middle_of_the_road ... Is ANYTHING in the US Constitution so clearly written and Black & White ? ... No, it isn't. It contains lots of provisos - which is why the 14th Amendment is not a HARD answer, or the 25th. Even the 1st & 2nd Amendments are NOT absolute !
