The West in general, and the US in particular have a deficit of Responsible People ... what I mean by this is that we ALL demand our " Rights ", but too many refuse to take a personal stake in the outcome - if it's bad. The US Constitution guarantees the Right to Bear Arms, but it DOESN'T guarantee specific KINDS of weapons ... at the time of the Second Amendments conception, " Arms " meant a Musket, a sword or a Pitch Fork - not an AR-15. The Gun Lobby, the NRA and the small arms manufacturers are the ones that convinced Americans that they can and SHOULD be armed to the teeth ... Meanwhile, the vague intent of a two-hundred & fifty + year old set of guarantees couldn't have anticipated the advent of hand-held WMD's, despite the reputation for " Prescience " we seem intent upon bestowing on the Founders ... And " Free Speech " has NEVER been completely free - nor CAN IT BE, when the uttering of Hate and threats of violence are - IN FACT - illegal ! ... Rights are EARNED by responsible and nondestructive citizenship. Failing that commitment, your Nation IS doomed to crash !
