Because THAT is the basic nature of the American power structure ... and don't assume that their younger protégés will be any different : As proof I give you Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert , Marjorie Taylor Greene, Josh Hawley, Jerrod Kushner and Invanka Trump, and a host of others who have served in Government (Republcan AND Democrats) at both the Federal and State level ... and it's NOT going to change, because American Politics will not ever change in any meaningful way.
