The concept of Christian " Sharia " is not new, nor even surprising. I've know Christians like that my whole life, and more recently, I've come into contact with the Muslim variety as well. This is why the United States was designed to be a Secular Nation - hence the Establishment Clause in the US Constitution. This allows people of ALL Faiths - or NO FAITH, to exist and thrive. Just as the " Faithful " of all stripes would be willing to defend their own personal beliefs, - so too will I, and other SECULAR people like ME do the same. Not a threat ... just a promise ... The Establishment Clause acts as a double security, for its aim is as well the prevention of religious control over government as the prevention of political control over religion. Under it the Federal government of the United States as well as the government of the States are prohibited from establishing or sponsoring religion.

@uprightfossil6673 You can't do OTHER PEOPLE'S thinking for them - nor can you force them to think your way ... Hence the need for a SECULAR form of Law that tries to protect EVERYBODY from EVERYBODY ELSE ...

@HiddenAgendas777 Yes, Always. I am just saying that Everybody's Religion OR Lack of it should have an Equal place of Respect ... BUT NO POLITICAL POWER AT ALL. The only things that should be given Political Power are those things that benefit the common needs like Equal Rights under the Law, Access to goods and Services, Access to Food and Housing, Voting Rights, Gender Equality, Racial Equality and any thing else that ensures a balance for EVERYBODY - in other words ALL MEN (AND WOMEN) ARE BORN EQUALLY FREE AND ENTITLED. No sexual or racial OR religious discrimination is allowed. But if you want to practice a Religious Faith yourself, and financially support a church you can do so without restriction and WITHOUT Government Funding or Tax breaks. Many Christians these days claim to have a " Personal Relationship with God - so KEEP IT PERSONAL ... and I will keep MY VIEWS PERSONAL, as well, and not try to impose them on you.
