... My guess would be that Americans have Toilet Paper and they really know how to use it. It's a choice : Waste Trees, Use more Electricity to pump water to your toilet AND Bidet, or drag your bum on the carpet like Bowzer ... the planet has LITERALLY Tens-of-Trillions of trees, and they grow like ... well trees. Pumping Electricity requires Carbon-burning methods and machinery to build dam-infrastructure and water-pumping equipment, and then there is regular maintenance - all over the planet ... has anyone ever done a comparative study to determine which method uses the most resources ? ... I doubt it.
