... Anyone who doubts that the political & social control mechanism of ' 1984 ' - and thinks it would not be effective - just observe a Trump supporter. These people may or may not buy into his cataclysmically flawed narrative on ANY subject, but it doesn't really matter ... because they goosestep in perfect time to his rhythm ... never questioning, never deviating from their Trumpian course. Many people are deeply offended by any comparison to the Germany of 1936, but there is an undeniable similarity of behavior ... a kind of bullish and willing dull wittedness about the following of this pseudo Christ figure that makes the comparison really quite appropriate !
