Morals do not come from ANY single source : Christians, Muslims and Jews point at their Holy Books and claim that decent behavior originates with them - always glossing over the extreme violence, rampant justifications for rape, ransack and slavery that are - CLEARLY - sanctioned by God ... and if you doubt it, read the Old Testament straight through ! Our morals can ALSO vary, depending upon one's culture : Equality as entrenched in Law versus Caste systems or Male / Female equality - or lack of - also entrenched in Law ... Are " Honor " killings acceptable ? - not in the West they aren't, but they appear to be given more space in (some) Middle Eastern nations, even when they are not strictly " legal " per se. In fact, our morals seem to change yearly in subtle ways, so - if our Morals come from one faith or another and IF they were (are) immutable - why can we alter them ? Free Will, you say ? ... To which I reply - Where is the " Free Will " of the victims of murder, rape and abuse ? ... And where is the " Loving God " when these horrors are taking place ?
