  1. ... Not for the first time it occurs to me that many Americans can't be bothered to look outside of the US to see what is REALLY going on. The American economy - as big as it is does NOT exist in a self-contained vacuum. Like it or not, while the rest of us may be in orbit around the Worlds largest economic system, it too is push and pulled - quite significantly - by all the mass of those smaller economies, and as a result, the cost of gas, food, goods & services and the whole spectrum of the cost of living - feels that pull WITHIN the United States. As an outside observer of many decades, I know that, generally speaking, the people of America don't much give a shit about the rest of the World - think, in fact, that they are the ONLY important part of the World - but here's the rub ... You Ain't ! The Global Market, while dominated by the US Economy, still calls the shots on pricing overall ... not EVERYTHING is " President dependent " . The rest of us KNOW this. Catch up, will ya ? ...
