The US makes great claims for itself : the " Greatest Nation on Earth ", the " Shining City on the Hill ", the " Bastion of Democracy " ... and yet it balances on the knife's edge of freedom, it's Liberty always being threatened from within by those who would be Kings, always saved in the end by an individual or a small group of truth tellers ... Butler was one such individual - after DECADES of serving the machinery of Empire ... and someday, just maybe, there will be no such individual ... Then what ?
