  2. How is it that 1K people down vote this? I would get it if this was a healthy wild animal taken from its mother or if aggressive socialization was done and created fear in the kitty, but this is not any of that. This kitty was sick and scared and now has a nice family who loves her. What is wrong with people? Thank you, Dodo :)

  5. One thing that is clear to so many that have come before me, is the inability to understand how anyone could "dislike" such a story? I guess someone might be indifferent, as they don't get cats or maybe just having pets in general, I don't understand it. 566 dislikes :(

  8. @Adopt me Gaming ... I would argue that it is not such a good home, with that many pets of ANY kind running around the house. I have to imagine the disease that all occupants were exposed to was certainly going to kill many of those kitties, because she could not possibly keep a clean litter box :( Since the smell was soo bad, she was obviously unable to care for them properly and have to imagine that there were abandoned newborns left for dead in all kinds of little spots all over that house. I bet that smell included decaying bodies, as well as every other bodily function... ugh. . I am sure she loves cats, but such a life is nothing but cruel to every last one :(

Not wanting to be a downer, but since Paul is living on the streets at night, he will not show up for work one day :( This is why we must ALWAYS remember to share our love with those we love and never be afraid to do so. Paul seems like a great kitty, as pretty much all of them are* *There are a few lil' bastards out there for sure... lol

  13. Many years ago, I had a neighbor with a cat and a VERY large rat as pets. They chased each other around and played together all day and was crazy to see!

  18. At first glance, it seems cute that a cat stands this way. This is because he is grossly overweight and likely unable to keep his front paws on the ground when he tries to sit in the normal position for cats and dogs. His belly is so huge, he has trouble walking and proof as to the cause can be seen @1:59 . Previous owners of this cat abused him by not putting limits on how much or often he can eat. Exactly how long would ANY creature that has his limited mobility last in the wild? Never mind that this is a creature that naturally "hunts for prey" to survive. This cat would never make it in the wild, so nature would do its thing and he would not be in the gene pool. That is a pretty harsh thing to say out loud, but that is now nature works.   19. It has got to be scary letting her dog in with the kittens. I know that he has a friendly history and all that, but animals can get spooked. Glad to see it all worked out well :)

  25. Many years ago, I was doing some repair work on a house out in the countryside. About 20 feet away, was a rooster pin, with a single full-grown mail and probably 15 or 20 little guys. I have no idea how old they were, but they were apparently being taught to ... Coo, ca coooo ca cooooooooo to wake every ones arse up in the morning. Unlike a cat, that can hiss for the very first time with a 10/10 score, the rooster has to "learn" how to crow. So the adult would give a rip roaring example of the perfect crow and would select one of the little ones to follow suit. It was like Bobby Brady on that episode when all the kids were trying to sing and Bobby's voice was cracking? The little guy would go..."Cooo caa bllahaballlablaeeabaa" for a total "F" score. I could see the adult making the ..."from the diaphram" gestures to them.  . I laughed the ENTIRE day, listening to those little guys try and try and try and try. I don't think they ever got it right, but damned entertaining :)

  31. @Hello Hello ... Yes. I would have used a small chisel for the entire procedure or at least when half-inch from reaching kitty. I like the idea of using a hammer to strike the machete, barring the lack of any other tools. I have used a machete many times and specifically to split logs for firewood. It only takes a minute incorrect angle to deflect the blade to a completely different location than intended. While I am certainly happy to see the kitty is fine, I think the manner in which this little one was extracted left MUCH to be desired :(

  32. Once I got to within 1/2" of the kitty, I would have gone with a small chisel to pry away small pieces, rather than swinging that machete. Barring no chisel... begin prying MUCH sooner! A for results D for execution (because that may have been the result, with an errant swing)

  35. I remember seeing a video, a number of years ago, about a dog with only 2 legs. Not only was it one front and one rear, but BOTH on the same side. There was video of this dog running around a park with a bunch of other dogs. He looked completely normal, until you noticed something weird about all of the legs. This dog had to continuously "hop" around, because there was no real way to balance with two legs on one side of his body. None the less, he didn't let it get him down and appeared to be a very happy doggie :)
