This wonderful woman so perfectly illustrates EXACTLY what is wrong with the information age! We have such an overwhelming amount of information available, we end up trying to take it all in via sound-bites, to get through it. Combine this with those who have an agenda to frame others as typically bad or otherwise malignant, context is stripped away from a conversation of which we are pre-disposed to dislike from the start, so that person successfully created a new "hater" to spread the vile to others. Many of these people actually FEAR to challenge that pre-conception, so as to use that hate to fuel their lives going forward. As a result of all this... we have a most angry and vile culture I have ever seen!

@alezy7645 .... Ya... I would say there is in some cases. I think that social media has come SOO fast and from all directions, human evolution just has not learned to cope with it all. I remember the days when if you did NOT get to the bank by 6:00 PM Friday night, you had NO money for the entire weekend! There were no ATM's and this was but 40 years ago. Today, we don't even need cash any longer, as we can wave a phone or CC over a machine. We have replaced human interaction, with emotionless text on a small screen we look at about 250 times a day. . About 100 years from now, after society had completely broken down and lost its way, philosophers and historians will write about this period in time and it will not be pretty!

People have become so accustomed to the "high" of emotional reaction, it is like a drug. How many times have we heard..."white cop shoots unarmed black man", only to find out 2 days later that the FULL video gives a VASTLY different story of events? Look at Jacob Blake for a perfect example! This guy was a complete human un-being PoS in every way imaginable, yet he was regarded as a victim of "racist cops". By the time we see the FULL video, the damage has already been done, remember Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha? Even after seeing his actions, people have so conditioned themselves to be outraged, they STILL cannot see anything but a black man, who was selling Boy Scout cookies, walking little old ladies across the street and an upstanding pillar of society gunned down by a "white supremacist, racist cop who was hunting black people". . When we have a society that WANTS to be outraged... I don't know what we can do, other than wait for this psychosis to pass :*(

Alessandro LinuxBSD ... Yes, maybe I was not clear :( I think that there is SO much available information, we end up thinking we will miss something, if we don't pay attention. As a result, we end up "ingesting" a TON of info, but never actually "digest" it.. or at least most it! Jordan has spoken of hierarchy as a necessary tool humans use to make their way through the world. However, when it comes to social media, it becomes exceedingly easy to put ones focus on what SOMEONE ELSE has got them fired up. We get caught up in the outrage, because emotion goes from zero to infinite in 2.5 nano's and think to ourselves... "Oh, my friend would "like" this video clip, so it gets forwarded onward. Humans have always wanted validation in one way or another, but what validates us in the age of social media, is the insanely shallow "like" button. This is why virtue signaling is so insane from the leftist. The blinders of the ideology are so fixed, that even when one DOES see the entire Jacob Black video, the only thing they actually SEE.... "white cop murders unarmed black man". . As I mentioned earlier, many, many years from now, social media as we have it today, will be the topic of immense study by the philosophers and writers of that day!

Not sure I have said it in this thread or not, but have illustrated many times in comments that social media today will be the stuff of philosophers and writers for many years decades from now after we have all but destroyed our society over this garbage. I am only on one platform and is YouTube, but deal with censorship on a nearly daily basis and interact with everyone from any political opinion in a civil way. This is the ONLY thing we can do to combat what this young woman is talking about. Sad that we have come to this point, but indeed... we have!
