  1. @Sage521 .... Like nearly all lesislation, the authors get zealous and go to far, beause such legislation has been needed / talked about for a VERY long time. That said, there are precisely ZERO laws / legislation that does not end up harming someone unfairly. However, this is OVERWHELMINGLY due to greed or malice of individuals who seek to gain / profit from the system. Like all laws, the spirit of the law / legislation and the practical implication of it quite often get go astray. I was raised by a feminist mother (Born in '64) in an unhappy marriage. One will meet few that are as opposed to feminist ideology than myself and I am NO scholar of Title IX. Where it is being grossly abused right now, is the trans activist cult, who care FAR more about pushing an ideology, than one of the most fundamental reasons why Title IX is important. . We all know that females are particularly vulnerable in certain circumstances. So separate bath / changing / shower facilities are critical and segregated sports are about basic fairness. Each of these is under BRUTAL attack and has ZERO to do with failure to interpret Title IX correctly. It has to do with the objective EVIL of a cult who seeks to destroy Western Society. I cannot speak to your circumstances, other than to say that school boards, administrators and those who sought to make a profit from Title IX did so for their OWN benefit and seems you were caught in the middle. As mentioned, this will happen with EVERY law and is not always because that law was poorly written (certainly is in some cases), but rather greed / malice of individuals or groups that game the system.

  3.  @theworld6710  ... Yes. As I have said above in multiple comments, Title IX was NEVER designed to punish men's sports, but due to the specifics of how it was written and the VERY bad actors who gamed the loopholes, there was some who said..."if women can't have a sport, men can't have one". . I get that it was striving for equal access and support of women's athletics (I am NOT a scholar on this legislation), but nowhere does it say..."if there are not enough women to create a league, facilities to support a women's division or maybe separate fields to enable such a division... we must ELIMINATE the men's division as punishment". . NO... that is not what it says and never what it was intended to do. Of course, those who are going after this law specifically now, having been in place for 50+ years, is NOTHING but a distraction from what we face today. The most important thing the legislation did, was create a SEPARATE division and private spaces intended to fill the specific needs of females in our society. . Yet here some of them are, talking about how the foundation of the house needs to be repaired, while the 2nd GD'd story of that house, is engulfed in flames! No doubt, that Title IX can use some tweaking to address those "loopholes", but since it is federal law that is being VIOLATED by multiple states, we certainly have MUCH higher priorities at the moment. . Even if it were tweaked again today, it would be FAR worse, because Democrats would allocate 90% of the funds go to gender studies in Poland and create an LGB museum in Venezuela!
