@limitedhangoutlive ... Sums up my take as well, though I was subd to LWC for a number of years, but only really began to follow closely with Dave Landau. Like all disputes, each side has valid points, but comes down to how they present them that is usually the key to my leaning one way or the other. There have just been too many former employees who have had bad "break ups" to not be pretty damned well sure that Crowder is difficult to work under.
.
What I have gathered from each of those I have heard talk about that show, is the thread of control that runs through them all. He has built a hell of an empire, so he must protect his interests, but it is my impression that he cares far too much about bad press, so ends up CREATING even more of it. Never in an NDA situation and I get intellectual property that "may" apply to the character of "Not Gay Jared". I can understand, why Crowder might have an issue with that character being portrayed on a competitor's show (whether I agree or not, I understand the concern).
.
I can also understand, why Croweder "may" want to stop Jared from a "tell all" kind of book or podcast, for some reason, but looks like he is concerned with Jared just talking to family or friends. Nobody wants to be "bad mouthed", but if there is nothing going on behind the scenes, is such a restrictive NDA necessary?
.
I would argue that this is more personal for Crowder than the others, as Jared and Hillary have been, at least, been collaborating to some degree against him, so this makes it MUCH more personal. There are obviously things we don't know, buy every indication I see, is that this NDA is exceedingly restrictive, so why would anyone simply agree, were it not for being pressured in some way?
