Could have been the joint me and my buddy burned prior to the show, but.... 😸We must acknowledge that the hand-held camera with shaky footage was, to my knowledge either never used or only a small amount. That up close and personal film style was just not a thing prior. . Keeping the footage dark and never seeing what is after you, was scary. Remember how scary Jaws I was?

  3. ​ @JadeRunner  ..Yes.. you have described why I was never a fan of horror films. In 98% of the cases, a person must continuously make EXTREMELY poor decisions, in order avoid capture / being killed. Since I was not a fan of the genre, and having a bit of the Ol' nip prior to entering theatre, I was just in the exact mental space to let myself get immersed in it all. That hand-held footage was just so perfect for the scene. Kids setting out to prove a theory, documentary style and then someone disappears. They begin looking and the creepy just builds. I am hesitant to even watch it again, because I fear it will NEVER hold up to my memory. . Have not seen "Rec" or "Rec 2", so The Kitty will do a bit of research 🐈Peace, Jade
