EDIT: Not saying to claim two homes as primary residence should not be prosecuted, that is not exaggerating holdings, it is fraud and rightfully prosecuted. I have tried twice to clarify, but yt has removed both attempts to clarify my position. . Every person who as ever refinanced or asked for a loan, has at the very least exaggerated their resources / holdings. The lenders know this, so act accordingly.

@n3307v ... I am, As well as everyone who has ever reached out to a lender. I am not endorsing a person claiming two residences as primary, so don't get it twisted.

@AlgonquinPrincess ... Not sure to whom you are replying, but the closing line is the point of my OP. Fraud, as is the accusation, is a completely separate issue and claiming two properties as primary residence must be prosecuted.

@AlgonquinPrincess …. In 2008 they did not have to exaggerate income, as the entry level for laon qualification was reduced by some and everyone else followed suit. “everybody” is clearly hyperbole, but you already know that.

@AlgonquinPrincess … There were more issues that ceeated 2008, but most were looking for high financial gains, by selling prior to baloon payments of the property they purchased. Realtors and lenders knew these loans were a bad idea, but greed took over and we all payed a terrible price. . Watched my property supposedly rise by $200K and anyone with a brain could see that the property values were not gonna stand the test of time. There is too much to get into here, but this is not relative to the original topic.
