Ā @caledunsmoreĀ ... The glue has failed many years ago and had to deal with my two lower teeth missing for several days. Hard to speak well, looks TERRIBLE, people constantly asking about it, must be VERY conscious when biting into / tearing French bread or possibly biting on maybe a tough seed or something. One day the glue will fail again. My "stubs" that hold the bridge, will need to be cleaned and prepped, so the current bridge will likely not fit any longer. I will probably have to get a brand new one made, which will take at least a week, cost me probably $2K.
.
So long as it remains in place, I am good. If it becomes dislodged, it will be a royal PITA and expensive / time consuming to get repaired šæ
.
What happened to this guy was MUCH worse than me, but was same age and both of us were sucker punched by a guy who had NO reason to take issue with either one of us.

Ā @caledunsmoreĀ .. Yes. Not only did he lose several more teeth (mine were only two bottom center), but was a more violent and even more out of nowhere. In my particular case, I saw a guy laying in the middle of sidewalk, like 11:30 night, as I approached him (50 feet away), I was calling out.. "are you OK.. Do you need help?". He just got up and started charging me (while I was still like 25 feet away). I had been drinking a bit, so was not hammered, but pretty loopy. I was VERY taken aback, as it was so sudden. This guy was a LOT bigger than me and within a few seconds... "POW". He continued to charge me and I was in zero condition to defend myself, so I just bailed.
.
As Mike Tyson says, "everyone has a plan, until they get hit in the mouth". Well, when sucker punched, you don't even have a plan... lol. This happened to me in mid-80's, so I am sure the technology has improved a bit. The bridge is no problem at all, once you get accustomed to being careful with hard foods and such.
