God I am so tired of hearing about people being brutalized by others, only to be set free because systems of systemic systems.

@housewilma4904 ... The problem is that the people who do such terrible things as this, were not raised with the respect for human life. I get that this child is 13 yo, but I sure as hell never considered killing someone with whom I got in a bad argument or fight, when I was that age. For you and I, shame is how we address bad behavior, this goes WAY, WAY, WAY beyond bad behavior, but is because you and I understand that this is the incorrect response to deal with this dispute. Therefore, you and I WILL feel guilty after the fact and shame will just hold up a mirror that we don't want to see. In the case of those who attempt to kill another over stupid things like this, have no such guilt, because they were never taught the most basic values of all... respect for other human life. This is behind the organized flash mobs that raid and destroy stores or when we see 5 kids jump 1 and beat them mercilessly after they are down and literally unconscious. . I have ZERO issue with serious punishment for this girl, but not only will it not likely do any good, but she is 13 yo, so cannot grasp the gravity of it all anyway. This is a failure of a society that simply failed its children 😭 PS> I have no words to explain the depravity of what the judge has done, but the fundamental issue is how we got to the point where a 13 yo would do such a thing as this.

@housewilma4904 ... I hear you, but I don't have any more answers than you 😿 There have always been a percentage of those who act as this girl did, but we have a VASTLY larger percentage today. There are a lot of reasons for it, but ultimately the parents are failing to instill even the most basic of ALL values in their children. They are leaving it up to public schools, nannies, daycare, baby sitters or those they meet on the street or internet. . So long as THIS is the case, we can and obviously need to elect / support better legislators and such, but if society does not start embracing simple values that we can ALL agree... society will plummet into chaos, because those who lack those values will simply force all the rest to play the same game. . As I have heard from my earliest days of grade school... it only takes one rotten apple to disrupt the entire class.

@daltonbarrett6404 ... My point was not to excuse the mom nor the WOKE judge who also failed, but that once she people have committed crimes, that punishment is after the fact and the victim has already been harmed. Absolutely punish the girl and especially the mom, but all of us would rather see society get its act together and raise their children with universally accepted values, so people don't pull a knife to kill someone over an argument.
