  1. Was a VERY smart move on WB's part! As @Stevarooni said so well already, movie theatre's were not doing so well pre-Sweet 'n' Sour sniffles and there is just no way they can survive all this. Don't know what releasing all movies on the same day is about, but I suppose Sean will give us the info :)

I have only been to the theatre a few times in the last few years, because my own living room has a bad azz A/V system (like 90% of those reading this!) with a killer couch in perfect position to watch a movie. Hollywood's biggest problem is that it takes SOOO much $$$ to make it all run and the actors / on-site production costs are insane. Combine that with little independent film makers who can produce AMAZING effects with software that rivals Hollywood on a massively smaller budget. We have seen lots of great actors /actresses come out of these "small" films that make big profits, because they don't have to spend so much money to make them. People DO want different, so they have turned to Netflix, Zulu and the like, so Hollywood is ripe for a financial beating from which I don't see it recovering.
