I fault the average citizens that refuse to do the basic research that more often than not easily exposes misleading statements. Politics are boring usually and that is by design. You hit the nail on the head when you brought up what isnt said in politics and in the media. It's a curse that the 1st amendment allows. Still the best form of government on the planet despite its flaws.
