Other than the job opportunities, the keystone project isnt nessasary. The concept was outdated almost before it began.

@jacobclark1457 the pipeline runs from canada across the border To steel city Oklahoma. Keystone is a shortcut pipeline that made some sence over 10 yrs ago when oil was an of above 100 $ a barrel. We do not need that oil. Its will be refined in port Arthur Texas and sold abroad. More profits for the oil industry. That why Cruz is so against it

@karenleibee9753 why did keystone circumvent the EPA when building the original pipeline. Which has leaked 19 times in the past 10 plus yrs. Spills ranging from 1800 gallons of oil to a whopping 380k . Not exactly a good record.

@bikerrich1200 do you feel that it's more important to prop up those existing businesses with the pipeline. Or allow those businesses to adapt to changing times. Something that rest of us have been doing all our lives.

@kathyfry4483 I'm all for a strong employment. If this project made any sence I'd be against ending it. There is already a pipeline that runs from canada into the US. Keystone is a shortcut to get the oil to texas faster. Oil the US does not need. Big oil will refine it at an environmental cost . And sell it abroad. More profit for big oil . It's an outdated pork barrel project at best. An environmental catastrophe at worst.
