@Capitalismrules ironic that most focus of the price and not the theory. It's basic retail practice to price an item within its max acceptance. If the item isn't profitable something else will make up for it. Calculate the profit margin on a large coke. Just have to be an educated consumer to spend your money wisely.

@turfxpert fortunately for me lobsters are right outside my front door. Havnt had a big Mac in over 30 yrs but do enjoy a burger on the grill occasionally. To better days. And peaceful ones. Also a quick dive into the cattle tax you referred to doesn't exist. Just more manure circulating the internet.

@turfxpert items go on sale to reduce inventory. Weather it is going out of season. New models are soon arriving. Or to entice shoppers to possibly impulse buy.
