'You have no idea how many people are dying for lack of an encouraging word'... how could JP know that, and how is it possible that only he knows that? He panders to conservatives who seek someone to verify that they are the intellectual party. He needs praise as an intellectual or he is lost. BTW did you find any insightful psychological ideas by him?

The only way he could know that is interviewing lots of people right before suicide, and not giving them an encouraging word. @MrSRA13 What you aren't getting is you are Peterson's fan base... They feel really strongly that because he is conservative and uses big words he must be saying brilliant stuff. They need to be able to say, "look we like this really smart guy.". It's only when you start paying attention to what he says that the sham falls apart. @itsdragon3085 I am pretty sure that we do not understand pre-experimental thinking, so we try to explain it in terms that we do understand – which means that we explain it away, define it as nonsense. After all, we think scientifically – so we believe – and we think we know what that means (since scientific thinking can in principle be defined). We are familiar with scientific thinking, and value it highly – so we tend to presume that that is all there is to thinking (that all other “forms of thought” are approximations, at best, to the ideal of scientific thought). But this is not accurate. Thinking also and more fundamentally is specification of value – is specification of implication for behavior. This means that categorization, with regards to value –determination (or even perception) of what constitutes a single thing, or class of things – is the act of grouping together according to implication for behavior. Do you agree?

Sounds made up, and how come you are the only person who knows? How many people are dying? Do you have an actual number? Is there a link to this cause of death stat? Some people have never been listened to their entire life. How do you know that Jordan? Were they living in a cave where no one could hear them? @SolarJakee Peterson isn't a scientist. Science does experiments to discover the unknown. Psychology just makes common sense observations about human behavior. No psychologist has ever discovered anything I can't think of myself sitting on my couch for an hour.

Please share any discovery by any psychologist including the famous ones that I couldn't figure out in an hour sitting on my couch. I understand JP's psychological make up; a guy with a desperate need to always be perceived as the smartest person in the room, self appointed explainer of the world. BTW, looking at the moon isn't science; astronomy calculations and probes to view the moon and earth are. But never mind all that; an intellectual, insightful, useful, scientific idea by JP on any subject anywhere. Please share, quote and source.

'Open people demonstrated a general capacity to reallocate attentional resources flexibly.' Duh. Translation conscientious people are detail oriented.
