@zb8021 No one can find an intelligent statement by Peterson that dismantled anyone.
1
Jordy got destroyed in this video.
1
@random.3665 JP had an argument that is valid and backed by evidence? Please share.
1
@random.3665 a. No one is arguing for equality of outcome. b. JP as usual over generalizes; egalitarian measures in the US around 1960 resulted in women moving into traditional male roles, the precise opposite of JP oversimplified analysis.
1
@random.3665 I think you are finally getting it. The fact that there is a specific case in which egalitarian measures seem to not cause women to enter male vocations does not prove that egalitarian measures don't result in women entering male professions. See, we both agree JP is wrong by oversimplifying! Try this; quote from the video any smart statement by JP. I promise to check it out.
1
@random.3665 'So yes, a lot of people are confusing outcomes with opportunities (or even flat out deny that there is a difference).' [Which people are these? Some people in this video? The source video is called Peterson Full Skavlan, see if you can find any of these alleged people there.] I have watched a lot of JP videos, I have never heard anyone confuse outcome with opportunity. JP says in GQ video 'Plenty of them are saying there should be no such thing as hierarchies.' He of course provides no examples of anyone anywhere believing that.
1
@random.3665 Correct, Peterson states that egalitarian measures result in women retreating further into traditional female roles is 100 percent wrong for the US. You can get more details in the paper... What Peterson gets wrong on the Nordic gender paradox. Pick anything Peterson said in this video and I will tell you how a smart person would say the same thing.
1
@random.3665 Listen at like 2 min where JP tries to claim that egalitarian measures is primarily the result of the Pill, toilets and tampons. Tell me you are not laughing. Then 'people fight in tribes', I think we already know that. I don't provoke people --- huh? Like in the GQ interview? I am an expert at gender issues. Ok JP was a gender studies major.
1
@random.3665 PERCENT OF FEMALE MD BY COUNTRY: European region: 53% female physicians African region: 28% female physicians. In Norway, 55% of all scientists and engineers are women. In 2020, the percentage of women science and engineering researchers and personnel in research and development (R&D) professions worldwide was about 31%.
1
JP is generally provoking and rude, watch him in the GQ interview.
1
@CathyKitson JP had facts? Where?
1
@CathyKitson Again. What facts did JP have? He over simplified the Nordic data... Egalitarian measures in the US resulted in women moving into male roles, the opposite of what Peterson said.
1
@CathyKitson You are missing my question; Does JP have any intelligent facts that outsmarted anyone? The source video is called Skalvan 2018 if you can find one there.
1
@CathyKitson We are searching for an intellectual idea by Peterson.
1
@realist7934 No one can find a spot where JP outsmarted anyone.
1
@arizjones Quote anything Peterson said and I will tell you how a smart person would say the same thing.
1
@arizjones Annie.. a good education is a good platform. Jordan.. that's not what the evidence suggests. Score for Annie.!
1
@enesfazlic6017 Peterson had facts? Where?
1
@petrstanovsky7648 No one can find a profound idea by JP that outsmarted anyone.
1
@petrstanovsky7648 JP had a smart idea? In this or another video? What was it? Apparently he helps people, but he is not an intellectual as much as he wants to be.
1
@petrstanovsky7648 I understand he is successful at motivating some people, and I support him on that and the people he helps. These various videos however claim that his brilliant intellect outsmarts other people. He isn't brilliant, he isn't intellectual, and the only way he dominates other people is with is inflated ego.
1
@petrstanovsky7648 I support his mission to help people, but in interviews his dominant trait is his need to be seen as the smartest person in the room... While not having any smart ideas.
1
@petrstanovsky7648 JP is the king of arrogant nonsense, watch the GQ interview.
1
@Chad_Max Agreed, JP has no profound intellectual ideas about anything! Not arrogant? Are you joking? Watch the GQ interview, and find a spot where he isn't arrogant.
1
@Chad_Max Or try this. Quote JP anywhere in this video and I will tell you how a smart person would say the same thing.
1
@MickeyAbraham2022 Did JP say something smart in this video? Timestamp and quote? The source video is called full skavlan.
1
@MickeyAbraham2022 Note that at about 1.30 JP claims that advances in women's rights were due not to equality of opportunity laws and encouraging women to move out of traditional female roles, but due to toilets, tampons, and the pill. Would you call that smart? People fight in tribes and wars? Did JP figure that out on his own? I don't provoke people? Really? In the GQ interview; 'That's your theory, that's a foolish theory.' Look up the paper what Peterson gets wrong about the nordic gender paradox.
1
@Chad_Max You found a smart statement by JP from this interview? Please share.
1
@Chad_Max Peterson has studied gender personality differences for 20 years, do you know what that makes him? A gender studies major.
1
@Chad_Max 'Our fundamental social hierarchy structures are predominantly masculine.' Jordan Peterson. [I am sorry Jordy, WTF does that mean? Our hierarchies act like a man?]
1
@mahadevovnl But no one can find a profound idea by JP that outsmarted anyone; including in the source video full skavlan.
1
'Hierarchies are a third of a billion years old, you can't blame them on capitalism and the West.' [Heads up Jordy, everyone on earth already knows that Hierarchies are a third of a billion years old and no one is blaming them on capitalism and the West. Strawman much?] 'Highly trained affective neuroscientists recognize that there is biological and behavioral continuity between humans and animals'. [Uh sure Jordy, but 4th graders know that also.] Annie: A good education is a good platform for CEO or nurse. JP: That is not what the evidence suggests. [Whoops Jordy.]
1
@nandinisrini6051 Annie won most of the points.
1
@arizjones As a Peterson fan, facts are scary for you, you reach the limit of your skill set at feelings and insults.
1
Jordy got destroyed in this video.
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 At 2:00 he claims that tampons, toilets, and the Pill freed women from patriarchal dominance. What a joke, then he says 'it's nice if we can make things better' -- wow, this guy is a super genius. People fight in tribes -- JP goes deep deep deep into explaining historical practice of war, I don't provoke people --- uh, Jordy, like when you called Helen foolish for crediting the women's movement?
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 In this interview, Annie says a good education is a good platform, JP disagrees. Maybe not in this clip.
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 The women's movement resulted in right to vote and own property and equal rights in employment. They didn't. Men don't need toilets?
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 'the woman in the panel claim that its the "egalitarian doctrine" that helped women from biological socio imparity.' Where was that?
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 Watch the source video where at about 13:00 JP disagrees that a good education is a good platform for high level jobs. You have shared your feelings about what happened in this video, try using facts, I will reply to them. [*Jordan Peterson at Skavlan 2018]
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 He isn't wrong if egalitarian measures didn't increase women in blue collar jobs. It did so he is wrong. 50% representation is irrelevant to what resulted from egalitarian measures.
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 Facts is quoting from the video. You have shared your feelings. Share some facts. An intelligent idea by Peterson.
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 True, egalitarian measures in the US increased women going into typical male roles. Score for me!
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 OK one more try, quote an intelligent idea from this video that outsmarted anyone or isn't something everyone on earth already knows.
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 Again with your feelings. Listen and quote any section of the Skalvan interview, I promise to check it out. Or start your own post at the top of the Skalvan interview.
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 Try quoting from the video, you look smarter that way.
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 The main point of their conversation? Quote that, and how do you know it was the main point?
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 She said a good education is a good platform for her daughter to become an engineer, CEO, or nurse. JP disagreed.
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 Sure quote this alleged main topic.
1
@chechevillaruzpareja424 I gather you are trying to make a point that JP said something intelligent or outsmarted someone. Can you quote where this allegedly happened?
