  4. A clogged up rad, not running coolant, the timing being too far advance are all things that can make the engine overheat. I'm sure that radiator is plugged right up being it's a original rad and was filled with junk plus I find running straight water in them old engines makes them overheat if you going to run straight water get some water wetter or something to mix with it or just coolant will make a difference

  5. That poor car I'm sure that engine will be cooked by this summer is over being a tired old 57 year old engine and all the pounding your putting on it and the overheating it won't be long till it will be DOA
