  4. Retention is the game 100%. You're upside down, or on the ground in real life self defense situations. It's not going to be OK corral. It can't fall out of your pocket or holster or waistband after you've been tossed to the ground. Also a snub will allow you to have superior leverage if a stronger bad guy grabs the barrel. Only people who've been in actual scenarios know this.
