  6. Not going to lie. After I graduated from college, I traveled to California, and Europe and got kicked out of medical school, worked in a $6.30 an hour security guard job while I went to photography school. Fortunately I had a 25 year teaching career after that. (Pension paying)

  8. If I were in your shoes, I would have sold the house put on tesla stock and retired abroad. You have Eastern Europe, Phillipine/Thailand, Mexico, Honduras, etc etc. If you're paying that much a year in property tax, it sounds like your house has alot of equity. In 5 years you could buy a sailing yacht and a house abroad and still have some left (probably your initial investment ) you're playing life too safe

  10. Called to check on a bus driving buddy from another county. He passed while working at age 61. He had this 75 minute commute each way too. He used to talk about moving to Australia after retirement.

  14. Do NOT retire in usa at 60 with $1M nest egg, unless you own you own house outright. Better to Geo-arbitrage and retire abroad. Also 2.7% is better researched. 4.0% too aggressive
