There's always an internal or external "locus of control" answer, but very often the outcome of people with internal locus of control are affected externally. External isn't always an excuse, when external is powerful, it is a reason. Not that "racism" in the US is a reason for being unemployed, but say you're an activist and end up in a prison and therefore you're not where you want to be in life...

@skylinefever Ah, I thought it was more recent, as blackpilled is only like 5-8 years old, 2 in common usage. They're always trying to motivate everyone in the rat race!

Also, most people who go to "elite" institutions are useless losers who don't do anything for the world, only themselves. Not saying that they're worse than people who go to non- elite institutions, just that, from my observations anyway, they're no more likely to be better. The institutions, especially elite (where graduates will likely eventually have more power) should push for it, instead of all the "left" crap they're polluting with
