think of it this way, a serious gun charge that requires a minimum of 10 years in prison as stipulated by the law was just pleaded down to a misdemeanor with a 2 year probation slap on the wrist.

taxes is a petty crime, thats nothing, and considering he paid back the IRS the back taxes he owed for those years, its not really much. the gun charge on the other hand, that is serious, that should have carried a minimum 10 year sentence, as dictated by law. practically every day pundits and talk show hosts and politicians talk about gun crimes and how we need more gun control, and then this serious gun charge gets pleaded down to a misdemeanor and 2 years of some specialty program?

its not that people dont believe in climate change, its that some people are not convinced by the climate change hysteria. you see, some people know that climate changes on a cyclical basis, sometimes it gets hotter and sometimes it gets colder, and its a predictable cycle. 13,000 years ago, most of North America was covered in a mile thick ice sheet, that ice sheet melted within a small handfull of centuries, we have geological evidence of this, long before human civilization was big enough to cause any effects to the climate. its hard to convince people that climate change will cause the oceans to rise when your main spokesman (Obama) bought an oceanfront property, doesnt he know that its going to flood? its hard to convince people that fosil fuel burning by humans is a major problem when the people claiming it are flying all over the globe constantly. Harry and Megan used 11 airplanes round trip for themselves and their luggage for 1 trip to a climate change summit in Brusselss a few years back. its hard to convince people that climate change is bad when your biggest activist and spokesperson is a petulant child that is too stupid to graduate high school even (Gretta). its hard to convince people to curb their energy use to save the climate when the guy telling you to curb your energy use actually uses more energy in one month than most people will in thier lifetime (Gore). Al Gore's mansion has $30,000+ energy bill per month. so realistically, the person who didnt graduate high school, burns more fuel in 1 day then you will in your lifetime and uses more electricity in 1 month than you will in your lifetime is telling you that what you are doing is bad and it will flood your home, and he is telling you this from his beachfront property that he just recently bought.

@jacqdanieles investigated for what exactly? looked into, yea, i'll agree, all our politicians and appointed officials should be looked into from time to time, just to make sure everything is done right. investigated? usually investigated means there may be criminal intent, but you could also argue that investigate is just another word for looked into. so now the question becomes, looked into or investigated for what?

Kate Steinle was shot and killed on a CA pier by a man who claimed to have found the gun and when he picked it up it just went off. he simply FOUND a gun, that someone else carelessly disposed of, just like Hunter did.

@patrickcorliss8878 he was not late logging his returns, he failed to pay for 2018 & 2019, he apparently paid back those taxes later. and yes, he should have the right to keep and bare arms, but we dont go by what we "think" should be, we go by the laws on the books as they are. any way you cut it, he got a slap on the wrist.

@paffles6696 yea yea yea, typical worthless leftist, defend criminals because ..... reasons blah blah blah. judges have the authority to excercise compasion during sentencing, judges have no say so when a plea deal is struck until it gets to the judges desk, at which point the judge has the authority to even deny it and go for a harsher sentence or a more lenient one. this plea deal was made with the prosecutors BEFORE it got to the judges desk. keep defending criminals because you like them, thats your whole leftist democrat mantra.

@carolmorris2705 you dont think he got preferential treatment? go to a gun shop and lie on your background check and see how many years you spend behind bars? better yet, tell me how many years Rittenhouse's friend is facing for "allegedly" lying on the background check form when he bought that rifle and let his friend use it? the law clearly states that anyone lying on their background check form in order to purchase a firearm will face a minimum of 10 years prison term, how many years is hunter facing? if you face 10 years then tell me how its not preferential treatment that he is not facing it?

Brown the dude needs to spend the next 10 years in prison for the gun charge alone. thats what the law dictates. go to any gun show and you will get warned that lying on your background check will bring a 10 year sentence if convicted. why does he get let off so easily while others face harsher sentences?
