  1. The circumstances set forth in the police report do seem odd. But, I am wondering why years later the alleged victim raised the issue again, that resulted in the NDA and the payment of money to the alleged victim?

  2. As to all these personal allegations against Pete, it is going to be very important how Pete handles that questioning at the confirmation hearing. I would suggest that he adopt an approach like “I have definitely made some not great choices in my personal life, and I regret many of them. But, I would imagine that many of the people in this very chamber have also made some not great choices and maybe even that they regret now. That has nothing to do with our ability to do our jobs.”
