  1. That Harry Enton poll about Elon Musk’s involvement in the Trump administration isn’t really an indication of what people think about Elon Musk. If anything, it is a measure of how effective CNN and similar networks have been with their disinformation campaign against what Elon is trying to do with DOGE. Also, by the way, this is PRECISELY what America voted for when it voted to elect Trump.

I do understand that the US is, in many countries of the world, having to compete with China’s presence, and China’s “belt and road” initiative can be very appealing if you are an impoverished or struggling country, so you weigh it out and decide not to worry about the strings that come attached to any help that China gives you. However, the ridiculous-sounding things that USAID has been funding don’t actually benefit the infrastructure or the possibility of improved prosperity for the people of those countries. Instead, they are just left wing ideology nonsense. Frankly, they sound a lot like the crap that so many of our universities have been teaching.

  3. Moynihan - This is a “day after” plan. By the time that anything along the lines of what Trump suggests is actually initiated, Hamas will be long gone. And, I don’t agree with you. Hamas is absolutely a spent force. You can tell that by their relative lack of hostile action just before the ceasefire, and the fact that they were even interested in a ceasefire. Also please note that Trump intends to bring economic and other pressure upon Iran, and that will make a huge difference to the support that Hamas receives from them.

  4. What Trump is trying to do, with his suggestions about what might happen with Gaza, is to think outside the historical box and open an opportunity for a shift in the paradigm. NOTHING that anyone has suggested in the past has worked for this region, and the situation with Gaza and the now in-bred hostility of the people that live there, has only gotten worse. I think that is brilliant to have a President that doesn’t just stand up there and say the usual “two state solution” nonsense, that NO ONE actually believes will ever work. There is no definitive plan in place yet, and it is yet to be seen what comes from this.
