Actually, everyone in this country has the right to the freedom of speech, not just citizens. I believe that is based on a Supreme Court case that was decided long ago. The issue here, I believe, are the specific limitations/restrictions placed on people that are here on green cards or student visas, having to do with not supporting a terrorist organization.

And didn’t McBride say in response “thank you Madam Chair”, when the Chairman is clearly a man? That should have been the end of it - tit for tat. That virtue signaling third party should have kept his mouth shut.

@ Nope. I tried to post a link to some info from Grok, but now I don’t see it. If you will check further you will see that many constitutional rights, including the right to free speech, also apply to people that aren’t citizens.

@ Grok says you are wrong. Here’s a little bit of Grok’s answer: No, the protections of the U.S. Constitution do not apply only to U.S. citizens. Many constitutional rights extend to all individuals within the United States, regardless of citizenship status, though the scope of those protections can vary depending on the specific right and context. For example, the Bill of Rights—particularly the First, Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments—has been interpreted by courts to apply to non-citizens as well as citizens when they are on U.S. soil. The Supreme Court has consistently held that the government must respect certain fundamental rights for all "persons" under its jurisdiction, not just citizens.

@ Good grief - I am not arguing for Kahlil. I was responding to someone else’s comment. No need to shout.

@ I didn’t say that it was. You are arguing with yourself at this point.

Wow! I had never seen any video of the inside of that “protest” at Columbia. These people look insane!! That’s not exercising their freedom of speech. That is them depriving all of the other students of THEIR freedoms.

She did. In the last show before she left.

McBride sounds like a narcissist. This “I am living rent free in their heads” thing is hysterical because, here is the thing, they are NOT thinking about you at all. If they WERE thinking about you, they would be behaving like that congressman that objected on your behalf. They don’t care about your little fantasy and, as a result, they aren’t inclined to go to the trouble to alter their natural speech inclinations to calling you “Miss”.
