  6. I had workers show up to a $50 / hour job without even a pencil and expect to be paid for looking stupid. I would take them back to the subcontractors and say you keep him and send a replacement. Those types leave for break 10 minutes early, come back 10 minutes late, leave to lunch early come back the spend 20 minutes in the toilet and stop working 20 minutes before checkout. During the day they call the girlfriend 5 times, check their email then screw up the one job they are given to finish. Then they gripe about being laid off.

  7. If possible get a Target card, put a few regular bills on autopay like phone, internet, electric etc. Pay off completely at end of month, you will be surprised at how fast your credit score will increase. Just don't buy needless items and always pay on time.

  13. Exactly...I was poor too but limited my spending to essentials. Started a food cooperative to eat cheaper. Paid my own way through college with various labor intensive jobs. Got 3 degrees and graduated at the top of the university. No student debt at all. Learned to live on nothing without borrowing from others.

  24. Get a card from a store like Target, link your bills on autopay to the card, phone , power etc. Each month pay off the balance, you will be building credit score monthly and not building debt. Be religious about it. Avoid late payments and accrued interest.

  32. A diversity hire at my job bragged how she stole someone else's masters thesis and got a masters degree. Dumb as a brick, would come to work stinking of weed , cancel appointments and sleep through consultations. Unfireable garbage. Glad I quit , by the time I left she had 2 DUIs and had spent her retirement pay and was under investigation by the IRS. Lifestyle deadbeat.
