  1. Section 21 was to have been abolished in April 2020. I believe the Landlord various associations lobbied the MP and got it stopped. This allowed landlords to evict tenants under section 21 so that they could take advantage of the introduction of short-term lets, charging a higher rent. Was the introduction of short-term lets expected? I think it was, to me, it looks contrived. Pastime we put a stop to those in power having an interest in property, or any family or friends having interests in property. The County councillor for the area where I live has a son who is an estate agent, his son is involved with renting too. The County Councillor has no intention of helping anyone in private rented accommodation.
