At the time of the Khaan China had 100 million and Mongolia 1 million and the Mongols kicked their butts.

Yes and many of the champions are Mongolians. Also, the women's sumo champ of the world is Mongolian. Not recognized by Japanese Sumo but who cares.
11
Stalin shot most of his good generals and sacrificed millions of Russians lives.
9
Neither Russians or Chinese have democracy and the U.S. has had it for 200 years and it is not weak but the strongest country on the planet.
7
Sorry too much inbreeding and humans would become the new fossils.
5
Hm then the British empire should have been called the Indian empire. It is the bunch running the show.
4
Sorry 100 humans only and we become fossils.
3
Hm How come my Hindu friend from the punjab speaks Urdu?
2
The Mongolians would get the Chinese to build it.
2
war Moon and more war.
2
Huh?" ha ha ha. There were two invasions. The first was successful but not enough troops to hold the islands and they retreated and got caught in a storm. The second had many more troops and at first the Mongols were kicking the Japanese butts. They had a secret weapon. Grenades filled with gunpowder shot by catapults on the ships. They destroyed the Japanese front defenses. Then they made a blunder by getting off the ships to finish the Japanese off with swords. The Samurai killed thousands of them and the Mongols again got on their ships and sunk in a storm.

1
Yes Jewish.
1
I do not think you understood the article Nicholas.
1
Actually they did. All of East India including what is today Pakistan was ruled by the Mongols.
1
Vietnam did a very interesting thing. When the Mongols invaded they rounded up all the crops they could and then burned the rest. This forced the Mongols to import crops from China. However, the Vietnamese figured out it was cheaper simply to pay some tribute than fight and burn their crops.
1
In East and Central Asia you are correct. The Mongols had to use great tactics and just be tougher than the others.
1
Nobody wants to.
1
Yes and that Indians invented the Range Rover.
1
Also, it would depend upon having Chinggis Xaan and Subutai. Kublai Xaan was not the general his grandfather was. I use this spelling because that is the way the Mongols in Mongolia spell it. There is no k sound in Mongolian. X takes the place of h.
1
Ishan It is just Gobi and not Gobi desert. Gobi means desert in Mongolian so saying Gobi desert is saying desert desert
1
People from Phoenix and Vegas.
1
There are about 3 million in the Republic, 4 million in China, plus Oirat and Buryat another 2 million. Add Kalmyk Republic which means about 10 million Mongolians. There are 1.3 billion Chinese. The only real change I could see is if Tuva rejoined Mongolia. Who knows. Mongolia has lots of influence there.
1
It is not the Gobi desert. Gobi means desert in Mongolian so saying Gobi desert is like saying desert desert.
1
Yes and almost all of Eastern India and all of what is Pakistan today. They were not able to conquer the rest. Too far from their supplies.
1
Most of Western India and what is today Pakistan was conquered by the Mongols and later by the Moghuls.
1
Huh? There was no country by the name of Pakistan and the area was ruled by the Moghuls.
1
The battles with Vietnam meant nothing but the Vietnamese burning their crops did. Vietnam ended up paying tribute to the Mongols because it was cheaper than fighting them.
1
Vietnam ended up paying them tribute. They paid it until the end of the reign of Kublai Khaan.
1
Yes paying a few bucks was much cheaper than fighting a war. The Mongols left the Vietnamese alone to run their own affairs.
1
You learned communist propaganda and nothing more.

The Mongolian Republic has plans to build a new capital and its name will be Karakorum. The same as the ancient Mongolian capital. I think it will be built near the ancient capital which is about 200 miles west of UB. Very doubtful any new Mongolian empire will emerge. However, the country has large reserves of various metals and now oil so it is progressing. An oil refinery is being built in the country to supply all the petroleum products needed by Mongolia. India is financing the project. It will be running in 2022. This will add 10% to the GNP. The diet of urban Mongols is changing with the addition of fruit and vegetables imported and also grown locally. This will have a large effect on the health of the Mongolians. Mongolia at the moment appears to have a bright future since, unlike China to the south, it has a democratic government.
1
That means I am 1 of the 100.
1
Sorry vassal meant they were part of the empire. Russia was ruled the same way.
1
You are wrong. The Mongolian empire lasted 170 years. Also, the last khanate of the Golden Hoard was destroyed by the Soviet army in 1924. Korea has never really had much of an empire. The Mongols with much less population ruled from Korea to Eastern Europe.
1
They did not have any different weapons than the Chinese or the people of Central Asia. They were simply tougher than the others.
1
Sorry they were descended from Mongols. Also, the Mongols conquered all of Eastern India and what is today Pakistan.
1
No different than before. Mongolians still ruled over Korea. China had 100 million and the Mongols ruled them.
