  1. So what the blue whale is much larger.  Spinosaurus lived in the shallow water and hunted large fish.  There is no indication that it was a land predator.

The problem with the asteroid is that not all large mammals died out.  In North America and Asia, no bison, (60 million in Americas when Europeans arrived), not moose, not grizzlies. not caribou, not wild oxen, not wild boars and others.  Nothing in Africa.  More likely a quick climate change that not all animals could endure.

  7. I would guess Spino might have had stronger arms but again it spent almost the entire time hunting for fish in shallow water.
