@ravenmoon5111 The TRUTH of the matter is the Lakota and Cheyanne were BETTER armed than Custer at the battle of the Little Bighorn. They had Henry Repeating Rifles where as the Springfield ..45 carbine the 7th Cav carried was a single shot weapon with a shorter range.

@iulner LOL The Vikings were not trying to expand. The simple fact is that if the Vikings WANTED to take North America they would have. People equipped with stone weapons had NO CHANCE against people equipped with steel weapons. Cortez had less than 600 men and he conquered the Aztec empire. The American Indians were easy pickings for Europeans because of their TECHNOLOGY.

@johannschmidt3389 They were not any better archers than the Vikings. In fact the Vikings had better bows AND better arrows. It would have been a mismatch.

@MinnieSpencer Why is a fact insulting? A warrior equipped with a stone weapon has almost ZERO chance against another warrior equipped with steel weapons. Look in history where empires of the bronze age collapsed almost overnight when a foe equipped with iron weapons decimated their armies.

@spqrtejano8026 Only with superior numbers. In an equal engagement the Vikings would have slaughtered them without breaking a sweat. Steel beats stone every time.

By sheer numbers the American Indians would have had a huge advantage. In equal numbers it would have been a slaughter. Stone age people would have ZERO chance against people wielding steel weapons.

@justincrawford5132 Exactly, I am not saying the American Indians were inferior warriors. Only that their technology was inferior to a point that in Melee combat they would stand no chance against a Viking. Even if they were expert slingers, the Vikings had shields and the only way a slinger is going to kill a Viking is via ambush. The Vikings possessed arrows with steel arrowheads, the bow far outranges the sling and is far more accurate as well. Again I am not saying the Vikings were superior soldiers only that they were equipped with better weapons that tipped the scales in their favor by a massive amount. Look at Cortez and how his army of 800 men STOMPED all over an Aztec army of 20,000.
