  3. So, let me ask you a question. Who made you the arbiter of what people need and don't need? Would you feel the same way if I appointed myself as arbiter of what people do and do not need, and said You DO NOT need and abortion? Please understand I am NOT attacking you, I respect your opinion. I am just trying to have an honest, polite, civil discussion. For the record, I do not own ANY guns, I personally feel like I don't need them. I had enough of shooting guns in the Army.

I point out to the gun control nuts that heroin and cocaine are TOTALLY illegal in this country and the Government spends hundreds of millions of dollars every year in interdiction efforts and yet I can walk out of my house and go score either of those products any time I wish. They can ban guns in this country but the only thing that will happen is that countries like China will smuggle them in and they will be available on the black market to any criminal who wants one.

  7. There is NO reason why a civilian needs to own a semi automatic rifle with a large capacity magazine. At one time in our country you could own fully automatic weapons so we had people like Bonnie and Clyde running around with Browning Automatic weapons and Mobsters shooting up the streets with Thompson Sub Machine Guns. Legislation restricted the sale of fully automatic weapons and you don't see them used in crime today. Again there is NO reason for a civilian to own these weapons when the only real purpose for them is so people can LARP and pretend they are an operator when they never had the guts to serve.

  15. The best argument I can make against banning guns as a solution is DRUGS. Drugs are BANNED and yet people have no problems getting them. The US Spends 15 BILLION a year on the war on Drugs yet ANYONE can buy them. I hate to break it to liberals but CRIMINALS don't care about your laws. The ONLY thing gun laws do is keep guns out of law abiding citizens hands.

  16. So I have a perfect compromise for leftists. I would be willing to accept any form of gun control they feel is necessary if FIRST they can show me that our Government entities can remove ALL illegal guns from our streets. For example a study in Pittsburgh, showed that 80% of people illegally carrying guns were prohibited from possessing guns, and that a minimum of 30% of the guns were stolen. So if the people on the left can show me how the Government is going to keep guns out of criminals hands, I would gladly listen to their gun control ideas that ONLY effect people who are willing to obey the law.

  18.  @TheJscottbpsmith  According to whom? As someone who consistently shot expert in the Army, give me an AR-15 and I could defend my home from multiple assailants. I could also effectively take down a deer at 300 yards.

  19.  @TheJscottbpsmith  I can tell you, don't know very much about firearms. The AR-15 is devastating at close range. I saw a guy get hit in the chest with an M-16 round, and the round exited through the top of his head.

  20.  @TheJscottbpsmith  Again, I can tell you are not that familiar with firearms. An AR-15 is quite small and compact, and I would not have any issues bringing it to bear on a threat inside my home. I also want to ask you again, what makes YOU the arbiter of what someone needs or does not need?

  22. I have never understood why hikers on the Appalachian trail are not armed. There are killers wondering the trail and if you ever look at the statistics the US Parks service DOESN'T want you to see that 1,600 people go missing in National Parks every year. You are a fool not to go out unarmed.

  23. I don't think it is racist when it is a FACT that poor people regardless of ethnicity commit more crime, especially violent crime. So yes making it easier for poor people to have access to guns is a bad thing.

  25. My biggest gripe with the left is that when it comes to firearms, they are totally ignorant on the topic. Not ONE person owns an assault rifle legally but I don't think a single liberal knows this.

  30.  @michaellangley341  EXACTLY....personally I believe Government entities have no interest in enforcing laws already on the books since the end goal is disarming the public. So they ignore the laws and try and make it so intolerable that people are willing to trade their freedom for security.

Semi Automatic rifles account for less than 3% of gun crime in America but the left makes it seem like AR-15's are roaming the streets killing people left and right.

  33.  @jasont5031  Good point, did you know that almost every mass shooter had been treated with SSRI anti depressants or had recently quit taking them? I have tried telling the gun control crowd that they are trying to treat a symptom, not the disease itself.

  36.  @danieldeplorable4960  Government entities have been using criminals as muscle against law abiding citizens for a while. Slowly chipping away at our freedoms. The Government allowed 9/11 to happen and we got the Patriot act out of it. The American people surrendered any semblance of freedom and it was met with cheers.
