  1. Strategic bombardment was NOT a flawed doctrine. It played a major part in impeding the German war machine from producing the tools of war. It broke the will of the people of Germany to resist. Without Strategic bombing the war in Europe would have likely dragged on for several more years, giving the Germans time to develop atomic weapons.
