  4. Um, the MIG-25 was NEVER designed to be a fighter, it was a high altitude, high speed interceptor designed SPECIFICALLY to counter the XB-70. The MIG-31 is also a high altitude high speed interceptor but with look down/shoot down radar designed to counter B-1B and B52's on low altitude penetration missions. While it is true the F-15 was designed to counter the mythical superfighter that western analysists thought the MIG-25 was going to be. Fighting each other is not in the MIG-25 or 31's mission profile.

  6. @ For the Airforce, adding growlers would add a whole new airframe to support logistically and train pilots and maintenance crews for. Having the F-15EX perform that role the logistical footprint is already there.
