  1. This is part of China's asymmetric warfare program. Launching these drones does two things. #1 COST, they are forcing the US Military to spend millions of dollars to down a drone that may cost 10,000 dollars. It is a way to impact our defense budget. #2 Fatigue, these drones are nuisance drones and forcing US Air command to constantly intercept them will lead to mission fatigue and eventually complacency leading to a better chance of sneaking a military target into our airspace.

  2. The USAF needs to modify the Stinger to be able to be launched from a fighter jet in order to engage these objects with a much lower cost weapon.
