I served in C Company 3/22 Infantry with the 25th ID from 91-95. Our physical fitness was on such a high level I ran the Honolulu marathon in 94 without training a single day for it. Simply put on my shoes and went and ran it. I feel like I could have passed that training, it couldn't be worst than humping a 170 pound combat load through some of the worst terrane imaginable for 12 miles and transitioning right into a movement to contact mission.

@dishdob Actually Kuwait was slant drilling into Iraq's oil field, it is what triggered Iraq's invasion. We should have let them keep it. Kuwait was part of Iraq but the British created Kuwait because the British Monarchy were friends with the people they made the royal family of Kuwait.

@Delgen1951 I remember we had this brand new Lieutenant fresh out of OCS. So I started this joke where every time we had a deployment drill I would keep asking him when do we get bayonets, I need my bayonet. This went on for about six months and finally he asked me what was my obsession with bayonets. I told him I didn't want to waste ammo on women and children, it was easier to just bayonet them. The look of pure horror on his face made every moment of slow walking that joke for six months worth it. It was hilarious.

@paulmorris6177 LOL Gimme the Kahuku's over East Rain all day every day and twice on Sundays. I HATED being wet in the field lol.
