  1. Respectfully I disagree. It is not criminalizing a mistake it is holding someone accountable for incredibly gross negligence. I think we can agree that there are mistakes and then there are MISTAKES. If a police officer is chasing a suspect and he makes a sudden move for his waistband and the police officer shoots and kills the suspect and it turns out he was unarmed, that is a mistake. If you are too stupid to not know the difference between your service weapon and your Taser, that is a MISTAKE. Her INCOMPETENCE cost a man his life and she should be held accountable in my opinion. Let me clarify that my opinion does not mean I am right or wrong, only that it is my opinion and you are free to disagree. I respect your opinion as well.

  2. Nate, I respectfully disagree. While in my opinion there was no criminal intent there was clear negligence on her part and a man is dead because of it. She should be held accountable for her actions.
