@RachelDavis705 Th US women have sold more tickets, sold more merchandise than the men's team, that part is true but you are cherry picking to try and support your false narrative. The 2018 Men's World cup generated 6.1 BILLION in revenue while the 2019 Women's World Cup generated 131 million in revenue. The pay for both teams is directly tied into generated revenue from FIFA as teams get a percentage of revenue generated. As a percentage of revenue the Women are paid BETTER than the men.

@RachelDavis705 As a percentage of revenue generated the Women's team get paid more then the men. If they want more money then they should work to grow their game so it generates more revenue.

@RachelDavis705 It is not sexist to bring up skill level. Should the worst physician in the world be paid the same as the best physician in the world simply because they are physicians? I also notice that you failed to respond to my simple point that the Men's world cup in 2018 generated 6.1 billion dollars and the women's world cup in 2019 generated 131 million in revenue. Do you think the women should be paid the same as the men even though the women's world cup only generated 2.14% the revenue the men's world cup did?

@donaldtorman1059 Another thing they missed is the women's team pays the alternates as if they were members of the team. The men's team does not, only those who make the final roster get paid. I think what we are seeing is the difference in thinking between men and women. Men are far more likely to take greater risks for potentially greater rewards where women will give up potential rewards for security.

@RachelDavis705 Isn't how much you get paid directly tied to generated revenue? Women's soccer generates about 10% of the revenue as men's soccer. Also if the women negotiated their labor contract why is it US Soccer's fault that the Men's team negotiated a different contract? The women's contract pays all the alternates who practice with the team but don't make the final roster. The men's contract ONLY pays individuals who make the final roster. This is why I don't trust the women's soccer team either they are deliberately lying about this issue to support a narrative or they are too stupid to understand simple economics.

@RachelDavis705 This is why I can't take you seriously. You are CLUELESS on basic economics. The US Women's and Men's teams are just a tiny part of their respective organizations, FIFA. It is about total revenue generated NOT about what one team generates. I will say it again the 2018 men's world cup generated 6.3 BILLION in revenue for FIFA and the 2019 women's world cup generated generated 131 million in revenue for FIFA. Claiming there is a pay gap is either deliberately cherry picking facts to support a false narrative or just being ignorant of BASIC economics.

@RachelDavis705 I will also point out that even though they both play soccer it is NOT the same game. The men's team play elite competition the women do not. Women's soccer around the world isn't really a thing in most countries except for the Olympics and world cup. This is evident when the US Women's team is trounced on a regular basis by middle school boys soccer teams here in America like when they got crushed by the under 15 team Dallas FC. This is the equivalent of saying high school football players should make the same money as NFL players because they both play football. If the US women's soccer team who is number one played the US Men's soccer team who are considered to be a very weak team, the men's team would beat them 30-0. The individual skill and competition played is NOTHING compared to the US men's team.

Actually it is much lower than that the 2018 men's world cup generated 6.1 billion in revenue. The 2019 women's world cup generated 131 million in revenue.
