  1. The Defense appropriation process needs to be reformed. The inefficiency bred into the system by splitting up these contracts among the states as jobs programs is killing us. Hopefully DOGE will streamline this process, who cares if 90% of defense production and jobs are in a couple of states, if it saves us hundreds of billions every year I am all for it.

The day before 9/11 Donald Rumsfield gave a speech where he talked about how the Pentagon had over 100 individual computer networks that didn't talk to one another and used different accounting practices and standards. Rumsfield wanted a unified network and accounting system for the DOD so they could better manage the budget and the public trust. We all know what happened the next day, so Rumsfield desire never happened.
